Educational Outreach
Aspen Winds is excited and honored to start our sixth season of school concerts with NOVA Chamber Music Series, performing throughout Utah and the Wasatch Front in Salt Lake. We perform age-appropriate programs for students of all ages. This includes live and/or virtual performances, question and answer sessions, workshops/masterclasses, and insight into the power and beauty involved with making music. Our emphasis this year is to go out into communities all over Utah and offer musical evenings that the entire family can come and enjoy.
Outreach 2021-2022
Community Unity: Team-building and cooperation in the time of social distance. Through the NOVA MUSIC PROJECT, Aspen Winds continues to inspire and educate students with the highest quality of live, blended, and/or virtual performances of engaging chamber music. We provide Educational Outreach through several different mediums to accommodate a school’s learning model. Recently, with the support of NOVA Chamber Music Series and the MUNDI Project, our “live Facebook presentation” of Peter and the Wolf on the Discovery Gateway’s “Concerts from the Couch” reached almost 2000 audience members in its first week. In the event that schools return to remote learning, our programs can be adapted to include additional real time student interactions, allowing Aspen Winds to continue its mission to bring music to new audiences.
The NOVA Music Project
The NOVA Music Project creates a unique and engaging approach to collaboration, exploration, expression, and teamwork through the enjoyment of chamber music. In addition to our live and/or virtual performances, engaging workshops on technique and ensemble playing are also available for any size music program.

Aspen Winds was invited to accompany the Utah Symphony on their 2014 “Mighty Five” tour of the five Utah National Parks. This video clip highlights our educational programs that were performed each day of the tour, before the the evening concerts by the Utah Symphony. We are so thankful that we were able to spend time in the beautiful landscapes of Utah.
