EMOTIONS BEHIND THE MUSIC

Family Night at the Provo Library, celebrating human emotions.

Aspen Winds will perform for you works by three composers: Carl Nielsen, who drew upon his love of nature and his relationships with his friends to write his Wind Quintet; Paul Hindemith, who used his feelings to push music in a new direction as demonstrated in Kleine Kammermusik; and, Maurice Ravel, who created music to celebrate the lives of several friends in his masterpiece Le tombeau de Couperin.

Aspen Winds presents a program of music for which the inspiration was drawn from events that happened in each composer's life. Regardless of the events, the music will impart an energy and a passion that will make you happy that you are a person who can feel these intense emotions.
